Company history

Fond Metalli S.p.A. established in 1964, is specialized in design and manufacturing of industrial metal
conveyor belts and in engineering and manufacturing of internal conveyor systems for industrial production lines.
FM sells both to OEMs (for first installations in new production plants/lines, and for spare parts) and to final clients (for spare parts and for conveyor systems). Its belts and systems are utilized by End Users in a wide number of industries, ranging from glass to bakery to metal treatment.

The company has grown, since 1964, in the Italian and World markets thanks to the strong relationship with the OEMs and the ability to engineer personalized, technologically advanced solutions for its customers. The company has close relationship with its customers (which have different and complex problems), and it has become a point of reference for technical advice for conveyor systems and production lines. Its level of technological expertise is also demonstrated by the fact that FM has developed internally (and continues to do so) its own manufacturing machines.
The company employs about 80 people and has its headquarters and main production facility in Monte Marenzo, close to Lecco (40 km north of Milano). Another factory is located in Colico, 45 km north of Monte Marenzo. That geographic area is extremely rich of companies operating in the metal production (wires, chains, etc.) and in skilled third party outsourcers.
